Established in 1987 the Auckland Philharmonia Foundation (the Foundation) is a registered charity and not-for-profit organisation. Its purpose is to support the long term future of the APO. Over the years it has built up an endowment fund made up of planned gifts, such as gifts in wills, and this is carefully invested and used to support the long term plans of the APO.
The Foundation is an experienced steward of the endowment fund and strategically distributes its earnings to the specific needs of the orchestra, including player scholarships.
The Foundation also owns the orchestra’s rehearsal space, Philharmonia Hall, and the adjoining administrative building in Mt Eden.
You can leave your mark in the music by helping to grow the Foundation’s endowment fund through planned giving.
