The Freemasons New Zealand Opera Chorus is a group of professional singers based in Auckland, Wellington, and Christchurch. They form the choruses for New Zealand Opera’s main scale productions in those cities and perform in concerts with New Zealand’s finest orchestras and for other events throughout the year.
The Freemasons Foundation has been supporting the work of the Freemasons New Zealand Opera Chorus for many years. Together, this partnership has helped hundreds of talented New Zealand singers to develop their craft through performance opportunities and expert professional development attention made possible by a national opera company with international reach. New Zealand Opera is enormously grateful for this support.
The Freemasons New Zealand Opera Chorus' performance in The Trust Community Foundations Opera in Concert: Beethoven's Fidelio is supported by Noel Vautier and Kerrin Vautier CMG.
