Applications close on Monday 3 February 9am.
The APO Orchestral Fellowships are designed to bridge the gap between tertiary training and the professional orchestral environment. Two to three positions are available each year to postgraduate-level string players aged 30 or under wishing to take their orchestral performance standards and experience to the next level.
Fellows rehearse and perform with the orchestra for up to five months and also receive mentoring from APO string section principals. A stipend and per call payment is provided.
“Playing amongst very professional and talented musicians was an eye-opening experience for me, and has completely changed my views in orchestral playing in general.” – Sally Kim, 2017 Fellow (Cello)
