What we mean when we say “Open to New Zealand and Australian Citizens and Residents”

These positions are currently only open to applicants who have the legal right to work in New Zealand. This may include holders of NZ work permits depending of the specific details of the work permit. Please check with the Orchestra Manager in this instance. A further audition for this position, open to international applicants, may be held if the position is not able to be filled at this audition. Should this be the case, an announcement will be made on our website regarding a further audition which will then be open to international applicants.

What we mean when we say “Open to Applicants of all Nationalities”

This position is open to applicants of any nationality. If you are not currently a citizen or a resident of either New Zealand or Australia, it is advisable to research present New Zealand immigration law before completing your application. www.immigration.govt.nz is one suggested web site to visit. Please note: The Auckland Philharmonia is not is a position to provide sponsorship for immigrants. The Auckland Philharmonia will provide assistance in obtaining a work visa for the contracted player if required and pay the associated costs.
