We are looking for an experienced manager to take over the position of Director of Operations at Auckland Philharmonia Orchestra (APO), Auckland’s largest metropolitan orchestra.
The Director of Operations plays a critical, behind-the-scenes role in ensuring the seamless production of all APO events throughout the year. The role works closely alongside the Chief Executive, the Director of Artistic Planning, APO musicians and the APO senior management team. The role takes responsibility for management of all elements including venue and equipment hire, and communications with other arts organisations. Lastly, this role requires sound judgement and awareness of financial sustainability and budget.
To be successful in this role you will need to understand operations within a performing arts environment, the ability to work well both autonomously and within a team, to have the ability to remain level-headed under pressure and a passion for your work is essential.
