APO CONCERT CANCELLATIONS FOR APRIL

Auckland Philharmonia Orchestra (APO) regrets to announce that it is cancelling its scheduled concerts for April, due to the current situation with COVID-19. The following concerts are affected:

In Your Neighbourhood: Folk Songs
Monday 6 April, St Heliers Church & Community Centre
Monday 7 April, Titirangi War Memorial Hall

Great Classics: Rejoice & Requiem
Thursday 16 April, Auckland Town Hall

The New Zealand Herald Premier Series: Transformations
Thursday 23 April, Auckland Town Hall

APO and/or Ticketmaster will be communicating with ticketholders for all cancelled concerts.

The APO is still planning to livestream encore screenings of previous performances to replace cancelled concerts and are encouraging music lovers from Auckland and across the globe to tune in. The livestreams for this week are as follows:

7.30pm, Tuesday 24 March
Haydn’s Symphony No.30 and Schumann’s Symphony No.3

7.30pm, Thursday 26 March
Gershwin’s An American in Paris and Rimsky-Korsakov’s Scheherazade

5pm, Sunday 29 March
Mozart’s Symphony No.41 and Brahms’ Symphony No.2

RNZ Concert, Auckland Arts Festival, Auckland Live, The New Zealand Herald and The Violin Channel will also share the streams via their website and/or Facebook pages. Up to date information about all these livestreams, and where to view can be found on the APO website at www.apo.co.nz/Encore-Livestreams

The APO will continue to monitor the COVID-19 situation and Government guidelines closely regarding future events and activities, and will communicate with audiences, artists and stakeholders appropriately as changes occur. The latest updates will be posted on the APO website and the APO Facebook page.
