Violin, Associate Fellow
Annabelle is an exciting, emerging Australian violinist. In 2017, under the Ted & Susan Meller Memorial Scholarship, she completed her Bachelor of Music (Performance) at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music under the guidance of Associate Professor Alice Waten.
Through music, Annabelle has been able to travel around Europe. In July 2017, she performed in masterclasses and solo concerts in Italy, Austria and Lichtenstein- including a scholarshipsupported place at the “Mozarteum Summer Academy” in Salzburg. An avid chamber musician, in 2016 she performed in Verona, Italy as part of the “Estivo Chamber Music Summer School”, received tutelage from internationally recognised artists such as Eberhard Feltz, William Coleman and Wayne Foster-Smith.
In 2017, Annabelle was a member and concertmaster of the newly formed “Ensemble Apex”-a new vibrant, youthful chamber orchestra with a keen interest in performing modern and contemporary works. A highlight from this year was performing in the inaugural concert performing Prokofiev’s “Classical Symphony” and Stravinsky’s “Dumberton Oak’s”. As a soloist Annabelle has had engagements with many Brisbane-based orchestras, the most recent of which was a performance of the Tchaikovsky Violin Concerto (complete) with the Queensland Conservatorium Orchestra under the baton of Johannes Fritsch.
Orchestrally, she has led numerous orchestras including Sydney Conservatorium Orchestra, Queensland Youth Symphony, Queensland Conservatorium Orchestra and National Music Camp Bishop Orchestra. Annabelle has worked professionally with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra, and the Queensland Chamber Orchestra and the Queensland Symphony Orchestra.
This year, Annabelle is looking forward to completing her orchestral fellowship with the Auckland Philharmonic Orchestra. She is also excited to perform in the UKARIA 24 Festival, Adelaide Hills as part of the Australian Youth Orchestra Momentum Ensemble. This year cellist Nicholas Alstaedt, violinist Vilde Frang and violist Lawrence Power will be collaborating with the Momentum Ensemble.
