Azerbaijani Baritone, Elchin Azizov graduated from the Azerbaijan State University of Culture and Arts with a Film Director degree.
He has been a principal soloist at the Bolshoi Theater, Moscow, since 2008. His roles have included Ibn-Hakia (Iolanta), Escamillo (Carmen), Dr. Falke (The Bat), Giorgio Germont (La Traviata), Lescaut (Manon Lescaut) and Mizgir (Snow Maiden), among others.
Some of the most notable companies he has performed with are St. Petersburg Mikhailovsky Theater (Russia), Theater An der Wien, Vienna (Austria), Royal Opera House, London (UK), Opera di Roma, Rome (Italy), Limoges Opera (France), Opera di Rheims (France), Opera di Firenze, Florence (Italy) and Metropolitan Opera, New York (USA).
Azizov is a Laureate of the III International Opera Singers Contest, he has a Medal of the International Union of the Musical Figures (Moscow, 2006), won 2nd Prize winner in Galina Vishnevskaya Competition (Moscow, 2008) and is an Honored Artist of the Azerbaijan.
