During an illustrious career spanning 35 years, Olli Mustonen has brought his extraordinary musical insight to many of world’s most significant orchestras. In recognition of his outstanding musical achievements, he is the recipient of the 2019 Hindemith Prize of the City of Hanau.
Frequently bringing his own works to the chamber music stage, this season sees the World Premiere of his new work Taivaanvalot (Heavenly Lights) at Het Muziekgebouw, Amsterdam.
Further highlights of this season include concerts in Italy with the St. Petersburg Philharmonic under Yuri Termikanov, a tour of South America, engagements with the Auckland Philharmonia, Sapporo Symphony, and Jerusalem Symphony, and recitals in Italy, Japan, Singapore and Finland.
