The triennial World Symposium on Choral Music is the premier event on the international calendar, involving a feast of concerts and presentations from the leading choirs and choral practitioners on the globe. In July 2020 Aotearoa NZ hosts this hugely prestigious festival for the first, and perhaps only, time. The New Zealand Symposium Choir will comprise leading choral singers from Auckland and around the country, who have gathered to prepare Creation as the culmination of an historic WSCM2020.
John Rosser – Chorus Director
John Rosser has led acclaimed Auckland chamber choir Viva Voce since its inception in 1985, and was for 23 years Chorus Director for New Zealand Opera. He has worked with the APO on many occasions, preparing both chorus and choir in more than 20 oratorios, choral symphonies and operas-in-concert. John was inaugural Chair of the New Zealand Choral Federation and is Artistic Director of the 12th World Symposium on Choral Music (WSCM2020).
You can see The NZ Symposium Choir in action at Great Classics - The Creation on Thursday 19 July.
