Australian bass Pelham Andrews has worked with Opera Australia, State Opera of South Australia, Victorian Opera, English National Opera and others, performing repertoire which includes Timur (Turandot), Sparafucile (Rigoletto), Lodovico (Otello), Padre Guardiano (Forza del Destino), Colline (La bohème) and Mephistopheles (La Damnation de Faust).
Recent performances include Pogner (Meistersinger von Nürnberg Act III), Nourabad (Pearlfishers) and Tio Salvador (La Vida Breve), and this year Pelham will be heard as Parson and Badger (Cunning Little Vixen), Ben (Madeline Lee), The Bonze (Madama Butterfly) and in the title role of The Mikado, all for State Opera South Australia.
Pelham has performed in concert with the Adelaide, Queensland, Tasmanian and Aalborg Symphony Orchestras, Sydney Philharmonia Choir, Welsh Millenium Centre and Adelaide Concert Collective in such repertoire as the Beethoven Ninth Symphony, Towards First Light, Messiah, and the Requiems and Masses of Brahms, Verdi, Mozart, and Fauré.
