The Education Programme aims to nurture the next generation of New Zealand musicians and orchestral audiences. Our objective is to introduce every student in Auckland to the excitement of orchestral music by offering access, encouragement and clear pathways for their interest and understanding to develop.
We also offer a range of opportunities for students who wish to pursue a career in orchestral music. Activities range from first-contact in young children to professional adult development in composition, solo and orchestral performance. We pride ourselves in providing a platform for young talent to share the stage with APO performers, giving aspiring musicians the opportunities needed to succeed.
