Written as a memorial to Brahms’s mother, the Requiem is a work of great beauty, offering profound comfort and consolation to mankind.
The Hamilton Civic Choir is joined by singers from other Waikato choirs to form a 100+ voice chorus which takes a significant role in the Requiem. This monumental work has rarely, if ever, been presented in the Waikato – don't miss this opportunity to hear it performed live by one of this country's best orchestras, and top-class singers.
The concert will open with the NZ premiere of Kenneth Young’s short orchestral work Lux Aeterna.
